Landscape has always been a source of inspiration for Sam Luck. She is particularly drawn to the California coast and the expansive landscapes of the American Southwest, where light, atmosphere, and changing weather continually transform the scene.
Working primarily in oil and often painting en plein air, Sam looks for the moments when light and landscape come together in unexpected ways. Her goal is not simply to record a place, but to capture something of the experience of being there—the warmth of the sun, the shifting color of the sky, or the quiet feeling of a landscape at a particular moment.
Sam holds a BA in Illustration from Sheridan.
